Women Farmers Association of Kenya

The Women Farmers Association of Kenya (WoFaAK) is a member-based national umbrella organisation representing women farmers across Kenya. Its mission is to empower women farmers to improve food security and increase incomes sustainably through three key pillars: capacity building, mentorship, and entrepreneurship (wealth creation).

WoFaAK supports and amplifies the voices of women, youth, and persons with disabilities, and works with individual farmers (Champions), registered groups, cooperatives, and community-based organizations (CBOs).

Women’s Empowerment for Inclusive Agroforestry

WoFaAK brings its strong expertise in gender equality and social inclusion to AfroGrow. It provides crucial insights into the realities faced by women in agriculture and supports efforts to address inequalities across the African regions. Their work helps ensure that AfroGrow’s Living Labs and outreach activities reflect the needs and voices of women, youth, and people with disabilities. WoFaAK contributes to developing inclusive messaging, co-creation activities, and knowledge-sharing events, helping shift perceptions and improve representation in agroforestry.
