WeForest

WeForest is a non-profit organisation dedicated to restoring and conserving forests at the landscape level, aiming to maximise the impact of trees for people, nature, and climate. To date, WeForest has grown over 100 million trees, improved the livelihoods of 86,000 families, and restored or conserved 70,700 hectares of forest.

The organisation’s vision is a world where communities and nature thrive sustainably together to stop global warming in our lifetime. Its mission is to conserve and restore the ecological integrity of forests and landscapes by engaging communities in delivering lasting environmental and social impact.

Advancing Traceability and Forest Restoration

WeForest contributes to AfroGrow by applying its expertise in forest restoration, traceability, and community engagement, with a strong focus on Ethiopia. It supports the development of a digital traceability framework to ensure transparency and accountability in agroforestry practices. WeForest also engages in awareness-raising activities, promotes sustainable land restoration, and contributes to biodiversity and impact assessments. By supporting communication, outreach, and project coordination, WeForest helps strengthen the visibility and long-term sustainability of AfroGrow’s results.
