The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), one of HSG’s six schools, integrates the humanities and social sciences into teaching and research. Social Impact and Equity Expertise

As an associated partner, HSG contributes expertise in stakeholder engagement, social and economic impact assessment, higher education, and equity promotion. It strengthens the consortium’s interdisciplinary scope by embedding social sciences and humanities throughout the project. HSG leads the evaluation of inequalities in agroforestry decision-making and supports the post-project sustainability plan. It contributes to socio-economic assessments, explores how Living Labs can reduce inequalities, maps educational needs, engages in training and outreach, assesses impacts on well-being, and co-develops tools like the AfroGrow app.
